I have just read my first copy of Insurance People magazine and have to say I really enjoyed it. I liked the format of the short punchy articles and also the variety of pieces. So much so – I just tweeted about it!

'Insurance People delivers insurance people!'
Thanks to the September 2010 risk management article (War of the WURLDs) Andy Hawkes, CEO at Cardinus Risk Management received a call from a broker keen to explore how risk management could help his clients and his business. Meetings took place and contracts have been signed.
Andy commented, "It was great to know that our series of risk management articles have sparked interest. We look forward to continuing to work with Insurance People over the coming months."
I have just finished reading the most recent "Insurance People." Always a good read!
Harvey Wetherill, EISL
"After four issues I’m still finding IP a high
quality and interesting publication. A couple have had more interesting articles
than others but that’s due to my specific area of the business and will be
different for other people. However, I’m finding myself hoping I can
“scan” most of the articles so that I can get to your 'On The Road' piece at
the end more quickly. You leave the best for last but I think in
future I will do what I normally do with Newspapers – start at the back! In my opinion IP is the best of the Insurance
publications!"
"11:47 – Postman arrives – IP on mat, yippee!
11:49 - Started reading IP (from the beginning this time) forsaking all other tasks and routine business obligations.
12:51 – Finished IP. I did have to take a couple of inconvenient yet important telephone calls in the middle but was able to read Andrews “Across the Water” article uninterrupted.
12:52 – Looking forward to the October issue."
Alan Bates – Glasscare Limited
"Just a line to say many congratulations to you
and the team on the first edition of ‘Insurance People’. I believe you have
found a real gap in the trade press market - a publication about insurance
people, from insurance people. Best wishes for every success with ‘People’
going forward.”
Derek Plummer, Commercial Director, MMA
Insurance
“I like the ‘livery style’ - looks and feels
good quality and at a handy size. Couldn’t resist opening immediately when I
saw the names of those evergreen stalwarts - Cleary and Wellard - were
contributors. I was not disappointed with Alan’s acerbic wit and Terry’s plea
for sensible underwriting (not bad coming from a broker).”
Geoff Doyle, formerly of Sterling Insurance
“I thought the layout and content were great.
Would it be too much to ask you to mail a copy each month to my daughter back
in the UK? She has just joined the marketing department of one of the large
insurers after graduating from university and the magazine will certainly help
her background knowledge.”
Graham Mawman, State Insurance Agency,
Florida, USA

“The design and layout is terrific with
quality print on nice expensive paper! Content is first rate and you have
certainly spread your net to get some great contributors. A good spread through
the market makes good reading.”
Graham Getgood, pictured left (Retired broker)
“Congratulations on an excellent first edition
of ‘Insurance People’ . I thought it was an excellent read.”
Chris Moseley, Insurecom
“Congratulations to you all for an excellent
first issue. The layout is user friendly and pleasing to the eye. Best wishes
from a retired reader.”
Peter Allen, (Retired broker)
“I would like to congratulate you on a great
magazine, with some very interesting articles. I especially like the Nick
Elliman part and Terry Wellard’s article.”
David
Taylor, Flint Insurance

"Congratulations to all on the first issue of the mag.Reading it is like slipping into an old pair of
slippers, such is the similarity with the old IBM."

“Here comes summer” the cover said! Well it’s certainly sunny in my world. Not only am I off on holiday for two weeks tomorrow, but, to put the icing on the cake, IP landed on the mat. Life doesn’t get much more perfect than that!
